NO BUSY-NESS LIKE SHOW BUSY-NESS
Next week will be the most hectic comedy week I’ve had in a while as I bounce from one end of the country to the next in an array of gigs fraught with tele-prompters and Torah-readings.
I’m excited to be recording not one but two episodes of The Debaters, not only for radio but for the new-fangled televised series. Those debates will take place at:
CBC Vancouver, Studio 40
700 Hamilton Street
Vancouver, British Columbia
On Wednesday, March 30th at 1:00pm I will argue against the virtues of Do It Yourself renovations against none other than Andrew Younghusband, host of Discovery’s “Canada’s Worst Handyman”.
Then, on Thursday, March 31st at 6:30pm I argue against the virtues of cloning the DNA of extinct animals (not necessarily on a Do It Yourself basis) against none other than Canadian comic/mad genius Sean Cullen.
Apparently, all the shows are selling out fast, but www.cbc.ca/thedebaters/attend would be the place to check if seats are still available.
On April Fool’s morning I hope to find my flight out of Vancouver is not a hoax as I boot it back to Montreal (as three hours evaporate across the time zones) to rush onto the stage at Jimbo’s Comedyworks (1238 Bishop Street, Montreal, Quebec, 514-398-9661) to headline two Friday night shows at 8:30pm and 11:00pm.
Then, the following Saturday afternoon I perform at my first ever Bar Mitzvah, which is quite a milestone for me, almost as if I was undergoing some rite of passage into a next stage of manhood or something.
Then I plunge back onto the less-than-kosher Comedyworks stage to headline two Saturday night shows, again at 8:30pm and 11:00pm.
And then I go home and reintroduce myself to my family.
Mazel Tov!
